I recently sold my late father's farming property in the Boondall area. 

This was the first time I have sold a property of this size and one which held sentimental value to me and my four siblings.  I was seeking a Real Estate Agent with the same family values that I was raised with. When I saw the name Anderson and Anderson Family Real Estate I thought I would contact them to discuss my expectations.

I had been approached by several Real Estate Agents in the area when I first met with John Fooks and Peter Anderson. Immediately following this meeting I knew I had made the right decision to engage with Anderson and Anderson.  They were both very informative about the current market and potential market changes both short term and long term.  Each time another Real Estate Agent contacted me I referred them to John who handled all enquires on my behalf. 

During this entire process John regularly updated me with the progress and offers for consideration, within in four months we accepted an offer that was in line with our expectations.

We wanted to thank you for your work in selling our unit.  We have been trying to sell the unit for a long time, we had appointed other real estate agents to sell the property with no luck for years.  We even had one agent call us and quit after a couple of months because it was too hard for them dealing with the property managers that were onsite.

Since appointing you we've been happy with the updates and down to earth conversations we've had, you've answered all our questions and appreciated you telling us the truth in what the market was doing and where we needed to be.  Obviously, this helped sell the unit and for that we are thankful.

I write this message to express to you the gratitude of both myself and my family for the way in which you went about managing the successful sale of my parents' home, which was achieved in a very good time frame.

The responsibility of assisting our elderly parents to sell their home of 37 years in order that they could move into a more suitable living environment weighed on myself and my sister, especially as we are not living in Brisbane, however, from our first meeting with you we had no doubt that you would act honestly and in Mum and Dad's best interests.  This was proved on a number of occasions during the sale process. 

 As you know, my parents had to sell due to health concerns, not because it was their choice and the strain this placed on them was enormous.  You navigated this emotional minefield with the utmost professionalism, understanding and respect, whilst also liaising with an interpreter on behalf of the eventual buyers.

Having dealt with a number of real estate agents over the years in buying and selling properties, I would say that you genuinely did care about getting the best outcome for my parents.  You worked hard to bring only serious buyers for inspections and respected the fact that "tyre kickers" would have been a debilitating experience for Mum and Dad.   It is my personal opinion that the relationship formed was more like a working partnership rather than the traditional real estate/vendor relationship.

I continually asked my parents if they "liked and trusted John", each time they responded they did and so do I.

Again thank you for the serious hard work you put into this sale, I know that it was extremely stressful for you at times and this also you handled with good grace.

I just wanted to drop a note to thank you and your staff for the professional management of the sale at 6 / 65 John St on behalf of Tegan and myself.  Although the investment was not a success for us at all, the approachable and friendly manner of everyone in your company made the experience  more bearable.
