I first met Peter when I approached Anderson and Anderson Family Real Estate regarding selling my house in April 2011.  I tend to be cautious of people I don't know and Peter seemed conscious of this and was careful to provide me with useful information without undue pressure to help me decide how to go about selling my house, knowing that I had done this in the past without real estate agent assistance and that I was considering doing it alone again.

When I decided to use his services, given that it was very much a "buyer's market", he was very thorough, giving the impression that he had a good understanding of the market and knew how best to advocate for me.  He contacted me regularly regarding progress (or lack thereof) and remained optimistic, suggesting new approaches in a steadily-worsening market.

He was courteous and respectful throughout, and was conscious of the particular wishes of other family members, aiming not to inconvenience anyone more than minimally necessary.

While not representing one of the cut-rate real estate agencies, Peter's business did include within the commission costs such as advertising, and it was good to not be surprised by extra bills, to know that there was only the one quoted cost, this being related to a percentage of the selling price.

After some discussion with various agents and consideration of alternatives, we decided to use Anderson & Anderson Family Real Estate to undertake the selling of our property. Prior to this, we had no previous dealing with Anderson Family Real Estate, but, despite knowing several other agents, we decided to use Anderson & Anderson Family Real Estate because it seemed to us that the quality of advice was more comprehensive and considered, and the communication better. I should point out that, due to the existing circumstances and use of the property, the property in question was in relatively poor condition for selling. Nonetheless, despite this, Anderson & Anderson Family Real Estate achieved three quite remarkable feats.

One, they achieved a price some $40,000 more than what another agent, who in fact sold us the same property, said was the maximum we could achieve. Two, they managed to achieve this in less than a week from going to market. Three, to suit our circumstances, they negotiated with the purchasers a two month rent-free period after settlement to enable us to relocate to a more convenient and optimal date.

In addition to these outstanding results, it is important to note that all our initial approach to settlement, were always very courteous, timely, and utterly professional. They always took time to make sure we were fully and promptly informed about all issues.
